In 1996, Christie's Hong Kong auction house sold a double-colored jade bead chain for HK$72.62 million. Due to the insufficient growth of the auction and pawn industry in the Mainland, the jade auction and pawn are still in their infancy.

Even if the production of raw materials is reduced, it will not hinder the growth of its total output value. Strong investment and collection demand will push up terminal prices in the absence of resources, resulting in an increase in total output.
Two-degree change of distribution center
Jade raw materials are only produced in the northern part of Myanmar, and the production in Pagan area accounts for 90%. For hundreds of years, the only distribution center of jade raw materials in Tengchong, Yunnan, has entered China and Southeast Asia through Tengchong. After the 1950s, due to historical factors, Yunnan’s position as a throat fortress in the jade industry gradually disappeared. In the 30 years from 1949 to 1978, the emerald's distribution center moved south to Chiang Mai, Thailand. Guangdong and Hong Kong are the raw materials and processing centers, while the high-end consumer market is mainly concentrated in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Southeast Asia and European and American Chinese.
After the reform and opening up, China's economy has developed rapidly. In addition, the road to Chiang Mai is far away. According to the production area of ​​2,300 kilometers, the Myanmar ethnic armed forces along the way are very unsafe, and the emerald distribution center is once again moved eastward to China. More than 80% of the high-quality jadeite produced in Myanmar is now processed and sold in mainland China.
Choosing the knowledge of jade
Jade has the particularity of most collectibles. Objectively, it must rely on professionals to provide a price through certain criteria. However, jadeite is too large due to its rich color, and its evaluation criteria are difficult to standardize. This is in stark contrast to the fully standardized diamond evaluation system.
