[AITU share] Spent 12 years, the factory into a dream home

A designer spent 12 years renovating a house with a lot of fun and playful DIY decorations. Initially it was a factory with three separate units, now turned into a home, located in Portland, Oregon.

The residential area of 223 square meters, with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, this is indeed an elaborately crafted apartment. Nostalgic plot and time are revealed throughout the house, eclectic decorative forms, rugged and delicate, with no shortage of taste.

Look at the aesthetic of the house, the designer is completely based on the space before the design, which is why the choice of natural materials reasons. Because the predecessor was a factory, there was no load-bearing wall. Designers now use exposed beams to divide different areas. Concrete and brick walls are exposed during the renovation process, which is also the charm of the industrial style.

Most furniture and materials are back to DIY DIY, just as the living room coffee table. The whole house is a huge open plan design, but each has its own privacy, with the kitchen on the corner and the red gypsum wall dividing the area. The overall design of the kitchen neat, simple, although not many shelves in the kitchen, but this does not mean lack of space character. Lack of flexibility in open space, designers in the absence of small objects such as the table to choose to decorate, so that not only does not make the space mobility so unexpected.

The bed in the bedroom is made of discarded frames and vintage wheels, made of wood, stone masonry for floors and walls, and a thick industrial style. The bathroom walls are covered with natural black pebbles, the Japanese bath became the focal point of the bathroom, and the cedar wood and barn doors, the "natural theme" of dry grapes, give a particularly stylish look. Now you see the wallpaper, which is handmade with linen sacks and is simply attached to the wall, which is one of many DIY projects.

When the Moroccan chandelier lights up, it casts light in the ceiling and is really intoxicating.
