India will limit total cotton yarn exports for the 2010-11 fiscal year

It is reported that the Indian government recently announced that in order to ease the tight supply of domestic cotton yarn and the situation of excessively high prices, the total cotton yarn export volume in the fiscal year 2010-11 will be limited to 720 thousand tons. After the export exceeds this amount, it will take measures to prohibit exports. .

It is reported that India expects the total production of cotton yarn to be 3.46 million tons during the fiscal year, allowing 7.20 million tons of exports to account for 20.81%, and the local demand will be about 2.65 million tons. Therefore, this strategy aims to protect domestic yarn demand.
