In the spring and summer of 2018, NIRO WANG launched the series “Ode to The 5-Purpose of a Five-Praiseâ€. The series started with the English poet John Keats' Ode to A Nightingale, and then passed through five kinds of British natives and Intensive excavation and absorption of naturalized plants.
During more than two months of intense investigation, Niro selected five plants from the Kew Gardens library at the Royal Botanic Gardens and conducted further research. Through Niro's unique costume design language and techniques, these plants are organically combined with the 2018 Spring and Summer Collection. The five plants in Ode to The 5 include: Seaside Bindwood, Honeysuckle, Henbane, Columbine, and Wood Vetch. These kinds of plants not only penetrate the apparel products because of their unique and beautiful forms, but they also contain strange stories that are even more exciting.
