He graduated from the graduate school of Parsons School of Design in New York in 2013 and studied at the Fine Arts School of Tsinghua University.
Graduation design work debuted at New York Fashion Week. At the beginning of 2014, he was one of the eight finalist designers for the H&M Design Awards. His work was featured in top fashion media such as Style.com, Vogue, and WWD.
Prior to the establishment of its own brand, Hua Jia had worked in the New York fashion brand Diane Von Fursternburg, Tory Burch and the new sports brand Eightyone20.
