Common quality problems of coated glass

[China Glass Network] First, scratch or bruise

Definitions and descriptions: The scratches or scratches caused by the sliding or rubbing of the coated glass surface and other harder materials are mainly caused by the scratch or scratch of the glass at the scratched or scratched area, or The film surface is peeled off and bright. The shape is mostly irregular thin strips or strips.

1. Production: Due to equipment or post-cleaning, there is a possibility of scratching the glass in production, but the scratch is generally regular and straight, and can be controlled and tested. In addition, during the production process, the handling and packing of the coated glass may also cause scratches, and the original piece itself may be scratched. However, objectively speaking, large-sized coated glass is generally impossible to cause scratches because it is directly loaded on the film loading machine. The strengthened coated glass is also directly packaged after the film is applied, and the film surface generally does not touch other hard objects. Therefore, it is usually not scratched or scratched.

2, cutting reasons: such as the cutting ruler or tape measure on the glass film surface; due to the surface of the glass film with sand or glass shavings, the surface of the glass film caused by the scratch; the coating face down or not noticed The last piece to each box is placed in the opposite direction, causing the glass film surface to rub against it and causing scratches.

3, stacking and storage: after unpacking or after cutting the glass is not stacked as required, the film does not pad any padding between the pieces, resulting in direct contact between the glass, due to sand or glass shavings, etc., in the handling or Causes scratches or abrasions during transportation.

4, installation and cleaning: in the rubber or installation, caused by human factors caused by scratches or scratches of hard objects; used in the cleaning is not clean or hard wipes, or there is cement mortar on the glass film surface Contaminants are used and incorrect cleaning methods are used.

Second, the film

Definition and description: Partial film loss or film removal on the surface of the coated glass film. The main manifestation is that the local light transmittance is enhanced or the film layer is completely detached, and the release film shape generally refers to a dot shape, a cluster shape and a sheet shape. For the film falling phenomenon, we have strict standard control in the production process. Generally speaking, the diameter of the film falling part is more than 2.5mm is not allowed.

Causes: There are many reasons for film loss, which are often difficult to define. The main reasons are:

1. Production: Due to the coating process, some needle-like film falling, also called pinhole, may occur in the production process, which is unavoidable by the sputtering coating process itself. In addition, due to the original film or the cleaning of the equipment, it may also cause the film to fall off. There are corresponding requirements and regulations for this national standard. The products we leave are strictly inspected according to this regulation, and only after passing the factory.

2, transport off the film: after the glass is unpacked or after cutting, there is no padding or padding between the glass piece and the piece as required, resulting in direct contact between the glass, during handling or transportation The direct friction between the glass and the glass film surface causes the film to fall off. Such a film is generally a punctiform or agglomerated film which can be felt or checked by hand or inspection equipment.

3, corrosive film: because the glass film surface in the cutting stack, construction or cleaning, due to cross-construction or the use of an incorrect method, the glass film surface is exposed to acid or alkali or oxidizing substances, resulting in glass film surface It is contaminated by corrosion and falls off the membrane. This film can generally find traces of corrosive substances on the film surface or in the field.

Third, spots or markings

Definition and Description: From the uncoated side, there are irregular black speckled or streaked surface defects on the coated glass. Generally, there are mold, paper, sucker, original tin and watermark.

Causes: There are many spots or streaks, mainly due to defects in the original film before coating or improper storage and use.

1. Production: Generally speaking, the coated glass production process itself does not produce these defects, mainly in the quality of the original film. For example, moldy and paper-printing of the original film is not fresh; the original film itself brings the suction cup and the tin, etc.; the watermark caused by the tempering or semi-tempered glass cleaning is not good; and the original film itself is polluted, these are It may cause spots or streaks defects in coated glass products.

2, storage and construction installation: due to long-term placement of glass in a humid and non-ventilated environment, or placed outdoors exposed to the sun and rain, the glass may also mold or deteriorate and appear spots or markings.

3. Membrane fouling: Due to improper installation and cleaning, it may also cause local contamination of the glass and cause spots or markings on the glass. In addition, since the glass is not cleaned in time, dust such as dust and oil smoke adheres to the surface of the glass for a long time, and eventually spots or streaks are contaminated due to cleaning.
